What you can expect from this 30 day Johannesburg to Nairobi Overland Tour:

The ultimate experience for the adventurous is an overland camping safari through Africa.  A cultural experience second to none, and with adventure around every corner, sometimes finding oneself so isolated that the nearest town could be some 300km away, this trip is certainly not for the faint-hearted. A great deal of participation and flexibility is expected from all passengers on this trip, without which the tour cannot be a success.

A trip of this nature can only be undertaken by people of a certain mentality and it is only recommended to people of under 55 years of age, although this obviously depends on the individual. Africa can be harsh, with not only unpredictable weather, but unpredictable attitudes as well. Clients must expect delays for whatever reason.

All visa requirements and border formalities are the responsibility of the client, and clients will not hold the tour up for irresponsible reasons. Seasonal malaria precautions are advisable and are locally obtainable. The recommended currency for this tour is US$, in small denominations. The most necessary item on this tour is an open and flexible mind!

Day 1: Johannesburg - Limpopo, South Africa

Leaving Johannesburg early, you will begin your trek north. Stopping en-route to do some last minute shopping, you will head for a rustic bush camp set on a private game reserve in the Limpopo Valley.
